Toyota Motors is a Japanese multinational automaker headquartered in Toyota, Aichi, Japan. In 2011, Toyota was the 3rd largest automobile manufacturer by production behind General Motors and Volkswagen Group. Toyota Motors is 11th largest company in the world by revenue. In July 2012, the company had reported to manufacture its 200-million vehicles.
Toyota Motors was founded by Kiichiro Toyoda in 1937. Toyota had created its first product, the Type A engine, and in 1936, its first passenger car, the Toyota AA.
Toyota’s first vehicles were the A1 passenger car and the G1 in 1935. In year 2008, Toyota’s sales surpassed General Motors, marking Toyota number one in the world. In 1924, Sakichi Toyoda invented Toyoda Model G Automatic Loom. Looms were built on a small production line.
